Saville Test – Questions and Answered

Saville Assessment is an international company that develops several assessment tests – called Saville Tests. Various companies use Saville Tests to successfully select candidates in the application process.

The skills tests are used to examine abilities in the areas of language comprehension, numerical comprehension and abstract/diagrammatic thinking, in potential candidates and compare them with the results of others.

Different tests, depending on the position level, are offered. At Test The Talent you get access to the most used tests: The Executive Aptitude and the Analysis Aptitude Test. These are used for the hiring process of executive and other professional positions.

A Saville Swift test includes a verbal, numerical and an abstract (Executive Aptitude Test) or diagrammatic (Analysis Aptitude Test) part.

It is a combined test, which means you will be given questions on all three parts to solve.

In total, you will receive 24 questions, 8 questions per part, and you will have 18 minutes to solve as many as possible. It is advisable to choose one of the answer choices even for questions where you do not know the answer. The questions are multiple choice.

Saville tests are internationally recognized and therefore used by a wide range of companies in various industries.

Well-known companies that have integrated Saville Tests into their recruitment process include Novo Nordisk, Maersk, Deloitte, KPMG, Dyson, Jaguar Land Rover, Johnson & Johnson, Ernst and Young, Nestle and Virgin Media.

Depending on the position you are applying for, you will need to pass either the Saville Swift Analysis Aptitude or the Saville Swift Executive Aptitude test. Both tests have a numerical and verbal section. This is the same for both.

The difference is in the final test section. Here you have to complete either diagrammatic tasks (Analysis Aptitude Test) or abstract tasks (Executive Aptitude Test).

Numerical 6 Minutes – 8 Questions 6 Minutes – 8 Questions
Verbal 6 Minutes – 8 Questions 6 Minutes –  8 Questions
Abstract 6 Minutes – 8 Questions

The level of difficulty of the Saville test depends on the qualifications of the position to be filled. For professionals and managers, the more challenging test tends to be used, while for entry-level employees, tests with easier questions are taken.

Due to time constraints, none of the tests are easy. The more you practice, the easier the test will be. With practice, you can improve the skills you need.

At Test The Talent you will find practice tests for extensive preparation. The more you practice, the easier the test will be.

How you score is related to the type of test you are taking. In general, you will receive points for each correct answer, which will be converted into your total score.

In the detailed report, the company you applied to will receive a statement about how well you did in each of the three test areas.

This is done using a scale of 1-10, as well as indicating in which percentile your performance is.

In addition, you will receive a score for speed, accuracy, and precision. These are combined to form your aptitude profile. If you take a Swift test, you will receive a detailed breakdown of the scores achieved for each section.

If you do well in your assessment test, you will leave a good impression on your future employer and will most likely advance to the next stage in the application process.

Thus, you should start preparing as soon as possible. Use the 8 Saville test sets with a total of over 180 questions from Test The Talent and familiarize yourself with the setup, structure, and type of questions of a typical Saville Swift Test.

This has to do with the company you are applying to and their idea of the application process.

Some companies use the Saville Test early in the application process to screen candidates. In this case, the test usually takes place unsupervised at your home. Here, take advantage of the fact that you are in your familiar home and seek out a place where you feel most comfortable and can work with the most focus. Also make sure that you can work undisturbed and that you have a good WLAN connection.

Other companies like to supervise their candidates to make sure that they have solved the test completely on their own. This takes place either in a test center or at the workplace itself. Make sure you arrive on time (preferably 10/15 minutes earlier) and have your cell phone in flight mode.
