The Alva Labs logic test is an adaptive psychometric test that measures abstract reasoning and general mental ability (GMA). The test was developed by the Swedish company Alva Labs and is used by employers across the Nordics and beyond to objectively assess candidates’ analytical ability in recruitment. The test consists of 20 matrix questions in a 3×3 grid, and you have a maximum of 2 minutes per question. In total, the test takes about 15–20 minutes to complete.
The Alva Labs logic test contains only one type of question: abstract matrix figures in a 3×3 grid. One cell in the matrix is empty and you have to choose which of six answer options fits. Each question has exactly one correct answer. The test is adaptive — this means the difficulty of the next question is adjusted based on your answer: if you answer correctly the difficulty increases, if you answer incorrectly it decreases.
